Arte - When Strasbourg’s Haussmann style regains its elegance

In this 100 m² apartment in Strasbourg, almost everything had to be rethought. Only a few original features were kept by the Ynspir agency: the layout of the rooms, the generous ceiling height and the proportions of the windows. From this starting point, Emelyne, an interior architect, devised a complete renovation to bring the space back to life.

The Ynspir teams installed a heating system where there had been none at all, with a mains gas connection, redesigned the entire electrical network, optimised circulation between the rooms and improved sound insulation. The project also included a second shower room to suit everyday family life.

Designed for a family of two adults and a child, the Arte project pays tribute to the charm of Strasbourg’s bourgeois Haussmann-style apartments. The character of the place comes through in a subtle palette (greige, beige and white) combined with fine materials such as Hungarian point parquet, an oak kitchen and Orac Decor wall finishes, used in particular to enhance the headboard.

The whole is completed by Scandinavian-inspired decoration and contemporary touches, such as the plasterboard arches that frame the TV wall in the living room and structure the space elegantly.

The Arte project shows how a complete renovation can turn a demanding property into a warm, elegant interior perfectly suited to family life.

To ensure precise follow-up and smooth coordination throughout this renovation, the works were managed with the Archireport app. The tool allowed us to centralise visit reports, track progress in real time, easily share information with the various contractors and ensure full traceability of the project.
