Observations, archi-simple

On site, when people first start using our tool, the most common approach is to place observations on a plan using markers and take a single photo that clearly illustrates the issue.

Then, once you’re back at your desk, you simply assign the observations to the contractors.

Little by little, you’ll manage to send your site reports straight after each visit.

You can also get to know our voice input tool, which is handy for taking notes in the field.

With the app on your phone or tablet, you can take photos live on site or choose photos from your device’s gallery.

After you take a photo in the app, a drawing tool opens automatically. You can easily add arrows, circle areas, add text and even dimensions.

Voice input lets you dictate your observations easily. Transcription quality depends on your device’s microphone and the noise around you.

Images carry a lot of information: context, the nature of the problem, location. This greatly reduces how much you need to write. By capturing information directly on site, you save valuable time when finalising your report.

Yes, you can annotate plans (PDF format). Just add the plan to your project beforehand.

An observation is a simple finding, a remark is a point to follow up or correct, and a snag is a formally reported defect that must be cleared before work continues. In Archireport, each one can be located on the plan, illustrated with a photo and tracked until it is closed.

Yes. You prepare your checkpoints and standard observations once, then reuse them on all your sites. That way your reports stay consistent without re-entering everything each time.
