Additional works request

On site, additional works are common. The client changes their mind, a technical constraint emerges, or an unforeseen event calls for work that was not in the contract.

The problem comes when these requests remain verbal. No one remembers who asked for what, or who is supposed to pay. The result: disputes, budget overruns that are hard to justify, and delays that slip without any record.

Putting every request in writing protects everyone. For the project manager and the site manager, it is the record that justifies the impact on budget and programme.

It is just as useful a habit for the interior architect, so that every extra requested by the client is approved before it is carried out.
